This is a once-in-a-lifetime collectible – rare, large, fragile, and valuable – with special shipping terms. Serious buyers only, thank you!

Breathtaking piece of Japanese heritage with this EXCEPTIONALLY RARE, custom-made Samurai doll, commissioned in 1949 and kept untouched in a glass display case for over 70 years.

I acquired this piece directly from the daughter of the original owner, now 70 years old. Her father commissioned this doll as a special order in 1949, paying $7,000 USD at the time — a verified price she personally shared with me. That is a massive amount in today's dollars, confirming the doll's museum-level value.

This collector's doll stands an impressive 80 cm / 31.5 inches tall, weighs approximately 7 kg / 15.4 lbs, and features:

  • A ceramic face hand-painted with 24k gold

  • Intricate 鎧 (Yoroi) Samurai armor, crafted from kimono fabric, brass, wood, and ceramic

  • An original wooden box with the family Kamon (家紋) crest

  • A signature from the artist or studio on the box, confirming its authenticity

  • Preserved perfectly — the doll was never removed from the glass case since 1949

  • ⚠️ Quick update: I went to the store on 2025/04/18 to check how much the doll is worth, and I was surprised to find out it’s priced at 1.2 million Yen, which is $8,427.88 USD as of that date.
